Bovano glass enamel designs bring art into your home decor.
Enamel is glass that is pulverized and applied to metal by hand,
layer-upon-layer, over a copper surface. The enamels flow, merge and
combine when fired under the intense heat of Bovano's kilns. When
withdrawn, the fired enamel piece reveals a glowing, colorful, and vibrant
creation. This process may be repeated several times before the desired
appearance is achieved. Age old techniques applied by skilled American
artisans create enamel sculptures. Bovano glass enameled sculptures have
been produced in Connecticut for almost 50 years.
